If the cholesterol level higher than 3.8mmol/L, the risk of having cancer will be increased to 87%!

A Fast Recap Of WillYouMind For 2008!

Guys, today's is the first anniversary of WillYouMind. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the loyal readers that have been supporting me during the existence of this health blog...

Looking forward to the 2008, there are many events and catastrophe have been happened. In the mean time, I have written over two hundreds of blogposts as well!

Amongst hundreds of the blogposts, I have a very deep impression on this "Give Free Rice" post.

Why?

It is because I've joined the world vision, "World Teacher Program" in the mid of 2007 and I've been sent to one of the small village in Cambodia. At there, I've withnessed many children that living in poverty. If they want to survive, then they need to work very hard, even they're still a child!

I felt really sorry for them, because for earn the living, they've to make a choice to abandon the education. However, this still cannot guarantee that they'll have a nice daily meal...

Soon after I backed from Cambodia, I created this blog and have mentioned about a program "Free Rice" to show some awarenesses to the public.

Hence, to all those children that living in the comfortable situation, you should be glad and blessed about it, as there are still many unfortunate children from all around the world that suffering from the hunger and poverty now...

To me, this post is simply the best because it teaches us that we should learn to appreciate every little things in our daily life, by simply sharing and show our sincerity to the unfortunate...

Don’t Soak The Kelp in Hot Water!

People often soaking kelp in hot water for a very long time, as this to remove the white powder on the layer, which they think it’s moldy substances.

Well, you’ve done the wrong thing, as the white powder on the kelp is called “Mannitol”, where it can be used to prevent prostate cancer!

So, next time when you’re preparing the kelp, remember not to soak kelp in hot water or not to rinse it too long, and this to prevent the Mannitol from drain away.

Do Mind About Your Sleeping Hours!

Do you know that if you’re lack of sleep, it will not only cause you a fatigue, but it also can lead to the weight gaining problem as well?

A research group from University of Chicago has done an experiment on 30 young men and women that involving themselves in the bodybuilding field. These 30 people have been divided into two groups. Group A is the group that having sleep disorder and barely sleep over 5 hours each day, while group B is the normal group that sleeps over 7-8 hours per day.

The experiment has been conducted for over two years and the result was truly shocking!
According to the survey, 11 out of 15 people for group A has at least gained 8-12kg during the research, while there are only 2 out of 15 people for group B that having weight gained 3-4kg!

The research group has found out that the weight gain problem is causing by the deficiency of insulin, where the pancreas cannot secrete insulin normally due to the lack of sleeping hours!

Therefore, if you don’t want to become the next “Plus-sized” person, then you should be mind about your sleeping hours!

Nowadays, people are too busy with their daily life workload and sometimes, they’ve even neglected their health! Well, if you’re one of those that working over 12 hours per day, then you should beware of the “Karoshi,” which also mean “death from overwork.”
