Truly Shocking News For the H5N1 Avian Flu

According to the health report from Rome, 26th March 2008 - the main reason for the outbreaks of avian influenza type H5N1 are ducks, people and rice paddies – rather than chickens!

The H5N1 type avian influenza have been spread like a wild fire in the Thailand and Vietnam, and has the big percentage to behind outbreak persistence in other countries of the Southeast Asia region such as Cambodia and Lao PDR as well.

The National Academy of Sciences of the United States (PNAS), a group of experts from FAO and associated research centres have started to look at the series of waves of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Thailand and Vietnam between the early 2004 and late 2005. They also found that the main cause for the outbreaks of H5N1 avian influenza is come from the ducks, rice and peoples.
